"I love horses! I believe they are calming, healing, and loving."
Horses have been in Kim's life for over 50 years, when her parents surprised her with a beautiful golden Palomino. Kim was blessed to ride every day on miles of trails which is now Rancho San Diego. Many years later she was again blessed with four amazing daughters who also love horses and love to ride. This was the reason for starting her family ranch! Kim's vision for this ranch is to provide a happy, friendly yet casual environment for horse lovers with an emphasis on safety for both horse and rider. She loves her family, flowers, and nature as you will see when you visit.
The ranch has become the “Family” spot. Most days you will see her girls here riding or doing chores. Kim feels truly thankful, grateful and blessed by the Lord, to wake up everyday on our ranch and be able to share it with others
"Born in Illinois and raised on a hog farm, it is safe to say I love all animals."
Although Pat does not ride horses, he recognizes the long term benefits his daughters have by riding horses as a passion activity. As well as farm animals, Pat also has a passion for tropical fish. Pat raised angel fish since he was 14 years old. He currently owns the largest collection of purebred Endlers in the world. Through EndlerArk.com, he has preserved the genetics for this wonderful fish that is extinct in the wild. In the process of maintaining healthy populations of Endlers, he became an expert on fish nutrition which led him to ArkBioRite.com. Ark BioRite is a powerfood designed by Pat and is now available to the public. You can find Pat taking care of his animals on the ranch and maintaining his 300+ fish tanks!
Jamul Trails Ranch was originally built in 1992 for raising and training ranch stock horses. The property was purchased in 2015 and converted it into a boarding and training center, and it continues to be updated and improved.
Located steps away from the San Diego National Wildlife Preserve, Jamul Trails Ranch has direct access to hundreds of miles of trails providing an endless choice of trail destinations. The preserve extends all the way to the Mexican border and encompasses 12,445 acres. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the preserve, making the trails perfect for trail rides.
Currently we have living accommodations for up to 15 horses. The arena has been upgraded, leveled, and is groomed weekly, additionally it is bordered by mature trees on three sides providing at least a 50% shade area all day. Arena is outfitted with sprinklers for dust control and lights for early evening rides. Two round pens provide ample space to warm up horses. Five shaded tack stations with wash stalls provide a covered location to prepare to ride or finish up your session with a rinse.
